search is your friend, there are over 100 threads about pede tranny gearing

here are a few looks like 12/87 is very common. of course that will depend on motor running, tire size, rig weight, etc.

How slow should it go?
Quark Procar 33A....getting HOT!!!

Which pinion on my pimp slap?
Pinions and Spurs

Default Stampede/Rustler gearing!

I use a 55T Lathe, 2/3a 8cell pack with my wk modded crawler. I run 13T pinion and 90T spur and can climb up walls from dead stop at the base. Runs just a bit fast than I can walk so wheelspeed is perfect as well. Good luck. 14.5" wheelbase as well.
