Default WK Rubicon Tuber

i started working on a tube chassis for my WK. its made of 3/16 brake line and will be tig welded. clocked WK tranny, tmaxx drive shafts (when the LHS gets me the correct pieces ), 14/96 gearing, 55t lathe, moabs, the usual. i double narrowed the stock wheels, 3/8" on each side. they also have 2.5 onces of stick on weights on each wheel. the shocks are stock WK units using 100W shock oil and internal sharpie retractable springs along with the the stock springs for a double sprung 3/4 droop setup.

Can't wait to see that when it gets all brazed up. That is a great looking frame! Are you going for all scale? meaning chassis mounted servo and all. Looks damn good.

Ummmm becuase it isn't blue masking tape, unless it is the blue stuff it won't hold to the abuse that we put these through.

its getting tig welded, not brazed. and the servo will be axle mounted. im going to try and run a few comps with this thing even though the cg will be fairly high. i guess i just want to see how well i can do in a comp with something that looks somewhat like a 1:1 instead of the typical comp buggy. ya know, semi scale i guess. i do want to build a scale rig in the future though... probably with c channel frame rails.

well i got it together enough to run it. here is a video my wife took with the digital camera. the double sprung suspension seems to work well. i just wish the cg was a little bit lower. what do you guys think? suggestions?
