Default run time with 65T motor?

What kind of run time should I expect with a 65T motor and the stock HPI 6 cell battery and 15/96 gears?

I also have a couple 7 cell 1800's from my brother's old buggy. With the stock motor, the ESC keeps over heating (too much amps I guess). Does anyone think i can still use the 7 cells with a 65T without overheating?

with stock gearing and stock battery with a 65t motor i would guess around 30 minutes of run time.

7 cell will be fine with that motor, just make sure the ESC can handle it.

I guess the only way to tell is to drive it and see if it overheats.

I've heard of some guys getting 1-2 hours of run time, is that right? how? I can only guess with a 4200 NiMH or something...

I got close to an hour out of some 3000mah nimh batts I have. 55t motor and same gearing as you. The esc would start shutting off after 25 min or so. I would just let it cool for a few seconds and it would run for a couple minutes.

Must be something wrong with you guys. I can get 45-50 minutes, 15/96 gears, 65t lathe, on stock battery. I have never had my ESC over heat, and I have run in some high 90 degree weather.

If I study each line carefully and take my time I could stretch it out pretty far.
