Question spur wobbly

I noticed kin of a rythmic sound coming form the center are, pulled the gear cover off and the spur is wobbling. The 90 tooth did it and I went to a 93 tooth. It was fine for a while but now it's wobbling too. I'm a bit in the dark here. What's going on and is there a way to fix? I cheked the mesh and it's fine FWIW

Are all the screws holding it on totally tight. I had a problem like that and found I had stripped a screw hole out.

The original Wheely gears are soft nylon. Under high stress the gear will deform and fold. New HPI gears are carbon fiber (much stiffer). But, since you got a new gear this probably doesn't apply.

HPI said it is probably the adapter on the shaft tht connects the spur. They said sometimes the pin groove isn't perfectly symmetrical.

That's what I think is wrong with mine, they should be aluminum or better quality control

Couple hits with a dremel cut off disk should help.
