Post Throttle trim as a brake

By the way, i use the stock electrics and noticed that if you play with the throttle trim (forward/reverse) while crawling, you can keep the rig from rolling back on inclines and down in declines. Almost like braking but not really. Just a thought.

Correct me if I'm wrong.....but when I tried this a while back I lost throttle response in either direction. If I was going down hill and adjusted to the reverse side it would loose responsiveness of the reverse. Or vice Versa.

It would depend on what speedo you're using. The ones that don't require any set up, or have no set button can do this. Like the WK's stock HPI Jolt ESC.

Yeap...you can do it. But if you do, you have to remember you did it - when you stop going down or up hill, you could find the rig creeping on it's own.
