Stock servo wouldn't be strong enough. I don't remeber the stock setup well enough but it would be pretty difficult to do a 4w steer using kit parts. There may be a way to mod the stock config into something like the Clodbuster's stock system but it would easier to mount each servo on the axle.

You can get away with Y-cording the 2 servos but it would full time 4w steer. I did that on my Clod years ago. It would get you by until you get a 3 channel if you just have to have 4w steer. A modded TQ3 is a good cheap choice. Futaba's 3PM is another option and available in 2.4g so you don't have to worry about friends being on the same freq. The 3rd channel mixing instructions are posted on here somewhere. I really like the extra adjustments with the 3PM, I can really fine tune my steering. It's not truly independant for rear steer like the TQ3 but I only toy with 4w steer so it's not that critical for me.

Actually, the TowerPro MG945 is a better choice - it has more torque but at a slighter slower speed (which is irrelevant in the case of a crawler) and only costs 1 dollar more!!!
