| Hitmans wheely king tuber build
Well I only had an hour to work on it yesterday. And I found out the 1/4 " 1/16th wall tubing I selected does not braze well, so I have to wait for the parts I ordered for my MIG welder to come in so this will be a slow go at first. Plus, I am also working on a scale 1.9. But here is a link to what I have so far. http://www.putfile.com/hitman38mod/images/162738 Last edited by hitman46mod; 12-07-2007 at 11:14 PM. |

I have the lower links mounted. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=7199761 Now I have to figure out what I want to do for the upper links. I could just mount the lower and upper links on the same area. Just use a piece of all thread and some spacers. Then use the the shocks to limit articulation. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=7199758 |

Well it's been a hell for 5 days, but the truck is running. I still need to make a permanent mount for the electronics, work out the saddle pack design, and build some tube bumpers. Well thanks for the support, I will post more updates and some vids when I get them. |

Well my original upper link setup sucked, and caused alot of axle steer. So I redesigned it using a similar setup that HPI used and it works great. (go figure) http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=7229226 My next trick will be to make a plate to clock the trans to reduce the cogging I'm getting from my extreme pinion angles. In doing so I will also drop the bottom of the trans through the original mount, it's a tight fit but I will make it work. http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=7229230 Here is a vid it snowed last night. http://media.putfile.com/Three-link I also moved the front shock mount back 3/4" of an inch.More later. Looking great man. Can't wait to see some color on those tubes. You going powdercoat or paint? I also like the upper three link. I guarantee there'll be no axle sway with that one. Way to think!

| I'm going paint it is easier to touch up. I have to fab up body mounts then grind, sand, and paint again.
