What do you need to know? I'm not sure anyone is running a AX10 tranny, but its pretty similar to any other tranny.

The tranny output needs a litle a little grinding to fit a maxx shaft, that's not a problem. My problem is with spur gear clearence.

Oh. Have to wait for another person on that. I don't know much about the axle tranny.

I used pede shafts and steel yokes to set up my WK axles with an ax-10 trans. I drilled out the yokes to 6 mm and tapped one screw hole on the yoke to 4mm x 0.7 and used the stock WK yoke pins, and on the trans I ground off the thin end step, otherwise the steel pede yokes work perfectly on the axial unit. I haven't had any trouble with it, most of the tlt guys use pede shafts without any problems. Good luck.

The maxx and wk axles and transmissions are 6mm, the axial/tlt/pede stuff is all 5mm. Grinding the tranny output will make it fit worse, not better.

Fit worse if I grind? I was a little tired working on this stuff last night. I'd better double check my work. I know I need the pinion shaft from axials to make the pede shafts work. This parts list is getting out of hand lol

Look around for RC4D adapters. They've got a 5 to 6mm converter . Slap that on the Axial trans and you can run the bigger shafts or get MT hardened ring and pinion. The pinion is 5mm.

I figured that out right after I dropped a wad on steel pede yokes. I feel kinda stupid about that, seeing as I still have maxx shafts sitting around, unused. Definitely the easiest way to go, and the price is reasonable.

I'm intrested in this too. I have a 2.2 comp tuber in the mix I was also going to use an ax10 tranny, high lift axles, and E maxx shafts. I thought every thing was 5mm. I was going to use the steel traxxas yokes with the set screws. That way the E maxx shafts could be used. Last edited by hitman46mod; 12-19-2007 at 11:18 PM.

I drilled a hole through the output shaft and put a screw through it to connect them. seems to hold better than 2 set screws.
