Default King Crawler Chevy......

Here are just a few pics of my new WK I got from the Wife for Christmas. Thanks to everyone on here for all the helpful information on converting it to a decent looking crawler. The body on this kit is a ProForm 1/10 Chevy 454 body. It turned out pretty well I think. The roll cage is from a willing Midnight pumpkin donor truck I have. As far as the Racing stickers.....Check your local R/C shops... Thanks to Hobby Haven for the body and stickers. Anyone know where to get a Parma Hemi engine kit (or a B.B. Chevy engine kit)?

Default Lower links

I took 832 all thread and cut it to the length I wanted and covered them with K&S Aluminum tubing (1/4 X .035) (the thicker stuff not the cheap thin ones). Then I just threaded some Traxxas Rod Ends (#5347) on them and Wallah! I cut the front a slight bit smaller than the back. I used Traxxas axles too but you only need the bigger pcs. I forget the part number but I just fit them on the stock u joints and it all worked out pretty good. You will need to cut a 440 all thread for the Center support too. One helpful step by step I found was HPI's Stage one Crawler Demo. It's on www.hpiracing.com

Look up Wheely King and go to tips or tech. It will be in there. They also show you how to lock the gears (big difference in the true pulling power of this kit)!!

Send me some pics when you get yours done. I'm also working on a 1972 Chevy body complete with rear view mirrors and a bunch of other scale goodies. Stay tuned and check it out. Good luck & Keep me posted on your progress.
