If I wasn't moving this weekend I would go up there, otherwise I may consider going the day before the comp.

Im not moving but, Im heading out of town for 3 days this weekend then down to the farm next week coming home on Saturday, just in time for the comp. So I have NO time at all. Good thing is, the cabin should have a nice deck on it and the course a new climb for the comp on Aug 1.

Yeah I'll be at Badlands Saturday with some friends. Then drive back home to wake up and drive to Zion on Sunday. Only for the series...

Looking forward to it, its about time we hold a comp that isn't all rip rap, well hopefully.

I'm bored today so I think I'll take a drive up to Zion and scout out the site, if I can find it.

Then if I find it I will try not to snap another Losi axle (the AX10 will be near so the trip will not be wasted).

I found it, well actually I found several sites. The big one nearest the pedestrian/bicycle path has the most promise but the others eventhough they are narrower could be very interesting. The rocks are mostly broken limestone blocks similar to Busse but without the cement.

What I saw was a great scaler trail area that reminded me of driving my old Bronco in Silver Lake Dunes. The area is just on the other side of the path from the rocks.

The crawling area is about 1/4 mile from the parking lot north of the boat ramp and south of the Zion nuclear plant.

It's an easy area to find, just take Wadsworth road east until you are in the Beach's parking lot and can't go any further.

On the positive note, I didn't break any Losi CVs but I took it real easy too. Now I did take it rougher with the AX10.
