Yep. I'm still trying to get the Losi to work without breaking anything. I have idler gears, trans parts and rod ends.

I'm letting my friend's kid use the AX-10 if they show up.

Took a drive out there today and took some pics of the water levels, the local wildlife, and bashed the Wheely King a little too while I was out there

I looked at that bonus climb that you guys had talked about and took this pic at about "eye level" to our trucks

Good thing our trucks don't talk, bet you'd hear "You're Fawking Kidding Me...........Right...............RIGHT? from all of them at some point

Well looks like I'm going to have to show up then leave. Got to be back in Rockford by 5 to go to work. Coworker has his wedding to go to otherwise I would be there the whole day. I managed to talk my boss into a late start. I have to leave the comp site at 3:30-4:00. Hurry up and pass out the prizes.

Ill cross my fingers that we stay dry over the next week. I think we are only going to run 2 courses and no bonus gate. I will warn everyone now... its allot of ledges so set your truck up for that.

I'm going to try and go back over Saturday, Monday, and Thurseday or Friday to keep an eye on levels. With any luck, it won't get much worse that it currently is!

Then again, less bird crap this time around is a major improvement already

What would you suggest as a ledge setup? Something in general that would benefit both shafties and MOAs.

big tires If we get to use Batavia, we wont do anything that I haven't seen done by booth shafty and MOA.... which is pretty much everything. Even the big climb was doable by both.

High Ground Clearance to enhance break-over capabilities....but still trying to optomize for Center of Gravity so as not to flip backwards while climbing up onto/over the ledge edge. I would also add some weight up front so as to help plant the front as it gets over the ledge...and can then help to pull you over.....otherwise it will be a point-and-shoot to see of you can launch your rig onto/over the ledges. MOA and SHAFTIES face a similar issue with this setup if running Twin Vertical Plate types of chassis as the TYPICAL Ground Clearance for this type of setup is about 2.5" - 3". The guys running MOA STICK chassis are at the advantage in this kind of situation due to their extremely high Ground Clearance of 4" or more. Anybody running a TVP will want to optimize Ground Clearance...maybe add a little droop to let the axle reach over the ledge.....you get the idea.

Depending on the climb, I could get my stock chassis Wheely King on M3 compound Masher 2000's and chassis mounted/"in cab" Go-Pro camera to work well there, I just had to stay away from stuff that required lots of belly clearance and near verticle climbs with that rig Las time I was there the Losi did "ok" with Rock Carvers, but I'll bet the any of the Claws, M2K's, Rock Grabbers, or like tires will do alot better on it....especially with that climb I posted the in perspective pic of
