That Cruiser is awsome, you should build a scaled down version.

I've been to the Cliffs a few times. Not exactly my cup of tea but its wheelin. I usually make it up there once a year or so. I'll probably be up there mid May, as I've gotta stay up north for a week for work. Probably hit the park on the way home. I'm at the Badlands much more frequently.

Thanks man. It was quite the project. I'm sure I could've done it way cheaper, but I took the dive and built it right the first time. After the swap I was set on running 35's, and I didn't want to worry too much about breakage. Its a high pinion D44, geared, locked, high steer, chromo shafts, etc. While I was at it I threw some alloy shafts in the rear 31 spline 8.8 since I had to change the lug pattern anyways. I still managed to break a front chromo inner. How does that happen with 35's? lol

Its my daily driver, and still rides decent on the street. Its a little rougher with the quick, short bumps and has a little more body roll, but nothing that's not managable. As you can see, its off road performance more than makes up for it.

Nice! I love that little rocky climb coming out of Green. I don't think I ever got to run Orange this last year, it was always too wet. How was it last month?

we ran most of it and some atv tight stuff. It was frozen hard enough... 1-3-10.. that we were fine. we had the park to ourselves and ran a bunch of stuff twice and some backwards.

That's awesome man. Last I was there was Halloween weekend. My buddies went just before New Years and said there was only one other trailer in the parking lot. I need to get over there when there's some snow on the ground.

MarkMC 2.75 Suspension lift. Hybrid 3 inch body lift from MarkMC and Zone Offroad. Bilstein HD Shocks and Struts. Adjustable Panhard bar. Cut Front and inner fenders. 33 Xtreme MT and 1.3 wheel adaptors to a 6x5.5 pattern for decent wheel selection. Works really well. Has factory rear locker, fully boxed frame, 2.7:1 Transfer case, which is the same ratio as a stock non-rubicon jeep. Skid plates, rock sliders welded to frame, Custom computer program, exhaust, cooler air intake.

i just sent my endlinks from front and rear sway bars to have custom quick disconnects made. I am cutting the fenders some more, adding a real front bumper, and hoping to get a mini-exo tying frony bumper to the sliders.

A tj doesnt compare. No room, too squirrley on the road, not near the comfort, everyone has one, I dont have a lot in it since I helped the design on alot of things and the mods are as cheap as a jeep for most hings. Plus it would take you way more $$$ to get the 325 HP and 15 mpg i get. It will hang with a JK all day for 1/3 of the price.

I had the jeep thing and it still burns when I pee.

Just Everyone Elses Parts

Jeep doesnt have a motor with any power, the hemi conversion even get worse mpg and no more power for a ton more money. I like to not have to downshift on the highway to and from the trails.

But they fit on my trailer sooo nice...

When it comes to wheeling ill stick with my 46 cj2 on 36's.... I am just tired of sitting on the ground in the trailblazer.

2.75 in will run you 165 shipped plus shocks and struts if you want to change them. I had to, one of my stuts was bent in the shaft a bit.

I do have the anti-trail rig...a 91 Suburban on 36's. It has done some, but has the scars to show for it. I would love to have an old jeep. I used to have a cj5..70 something, with the tire still on the side and a wooden front bumper, but it was fun.

The work is free, its the parts that get expensive.

I used to say if I had to do it again I'd do it in a Jeep. Not so sure about that now. D44 front, Ford 8.8 rear, locked up, dual t-cases, v6, 5 spd. Kinda sounds like a Jeep from the description, except I've got a 108" wheelbase. I do wish I had a boxed frame though.

I woudnt wheel an xj without a cage, perferably and exo due to the unibody, but done up right they are wicked wheelers. There is a guy w one near me(awesone exo) and I saw some video of him on 2 or 3 wheels and using the exo and it was quite impressive.

I got rid of my xj after seeing a fairly minor rollover out at Badlands that resulted in a completly crushed cabin area.
