Default What rigs are you running

I want to try and get in on the SCRC action and I wanted to know what you guys are usually running.

Comp/Scale
1/10 Shaftys/MOA's?

I know Saydee is running everything! I've watched a few of his builds.

Thanks!

My scx10 seems like it'll fit in the trail/comp scale and/or the ttc. I'm building it with the Summit 2 speed trans. I guess I may need to swap that out to be competitive though.

I've been going back and forth on a comp crawler for a while... moa or shafty. I'll figure that one out soon.

Do you guys have separate days the events are run or is each event run at each gathering? If so, I'll definitely be building a comp rig soon.

Also, can someone come into the season part way through?
I mean, if I do not have a comp crawler done in time, can I join the comps once it is done as long as I don't care about my standing? I just want to be there and run it.

SEE LINK IN SIG for dates/times/locations etc. All your questions can be found on the local forum there.

you can come to 1 comp in the series or all of them, doesnt matter. In general, we run comp 1 day and scale another. Though we do have crossover days like the "Crawl Shack" were we usually run sportsman and 1.9 scalers the same day.

If your going to build a comp rig, just get an MOA from the beggining. I love sportsman class for its throw back nature but, most people end up buying a "pro" class crawler eventually. I would recommend coming to some of the winter events and seeing what people are running and what you like before you plop any money on the table to buy.

Take jetboat's advice thats what I should have done, I love my 1.9 comp, but if I would have done what jetboat said, I prolly would have a 2.2 right now.

evx isnt much of a crawler esc. Dont skimp on the electronics or you will pay in the end.

I run Two Berg(Moa's), SCX10, and a 1.9Comp (MRC) .. I would also recommend looking at going with a MOA! The learning curve is a little steeper out of the gate but that is probably what your going to end up with if you enjoy comp's.

I would tell you if you want to comp 1.9 it many other places and clubs do! I know when whe had the impromptu 1.9 comp that turned into just practice that three guys showed up with crawlers counting me with at least two more that couldn't make it on short notice... Maybe we could all get together on an off weekend and have a little MRC fun!

Welcome guys have fun don't loose site of this is just about fun and running what you enjoy. (Not to mention a healthy amount of plain ole BSing)

The one thing I will say to anybody comming in is while you can gleen alot of info from many of the members nothing (NOTHING) takes the place of driving what you have and modding it to make you happy! It comes down to what Jetboat, Palalto, xirtic, or anybody else likes might not work for you! We all drive different. The biggie though is drive often as you can!

I know my setups are a good bit different than the (accepted) norm but they work for me!
