Default Round Lake, IL R/C Track & Shop..

I just learned of a shop that's right down the street from us Northern folk..
Here's the link to their website..
Phil's RC Shoppe (featuring REDCAT Racing)

I'm still checking into it but, they have a video of their track that's pretty cool looking.
Round lake r/c track - YouTube!

The guy specializes in RedCat stuff.. In fact, thats all they deal with.

It would be a cool place to bring your fast stuff...Johnny, how about your r/c dirtbike? Jason, your RC10? I want to do an electric conversion on my HPI Nitro MT.

I dont know, Just figured I'd share the knowledge of this place.

That is a public track built by the city. I think there is a group of guys that groom the track, and sometimes change it up a little. There is also a skate park, and a dirt bmx track in the same parking lot. All of which is surrounded by woods on 3 sides.

Anyone can go there between sunrise, and sunset and use the track with any rc vehicle you wish to use. I broke my hpi blitz there last year. Fun track.

We should check out the woods around that area. Might be a good area to do local winter trails?

I go to this track after work on my way home. It has been updated since that video you posted. Great track, great people, and its free! They also have a website for all the locals and anyone else interested. www.realilrcracers.com . There is also a hobby shop right in down town Grayslake that i go to all the time called Hobbyworld, FYI. I tried to get some of the racers into crawling/scalers but that never happened. Too slow for them.
