Yeah your right. The next time I tear it down I will lock the diffs. Been running on dirt tracks, the open diffs work great. For the koh deal I will lock both diffs up for real 4 wheel drive

You will never be able to control a 50 mph truck on this some what tight course.

There are some open section that will be great for passing.

Yes, I know. That was the point; can't just say 'bring your fastest'. :P

Mmms.. most KoH are staged with like 5 minute intervals between competitors.

Maybe in the 1:1 world. Rules will be updated.

Hard to say without actually having some solid information about it. Depends too on which division of HH it is coming out of, i.e. Losi or one of the "cheap" brands.

i hope axial counters... i think i would still rather have the exo/wraith setup. just sucks you have to use half of two rigs to make one.

Just use an Exo with locked diffs, and an Axial tranny rather than CD, and you now have an IS KoH rig. ;)

I've been in a fabricating mood lately.. I'm working on my monster truck, I got a small project I gotta do for a guy..and I'm still wanting more. Maybe I'll see If I can fab up a quick KOH style chassis..

I gotta do something to pay for that star too! Hmm..

I wonder if there is a way to just throw a solid axle in back.

I have had a Independent locked front and rear. I like the open front better. Turns way better.

Anything is possible with fabrication. Be really no different than any of the Trophy Truck builds that are usually based off the Slash 4x4.

Uh, KoH is a trade off or should be. Heck, best would be lockable diffs ala the Summit. That way you can unlock for the faster portions, and locked for the rock/crawler sections. But its complex and you'd probably lose time.

Really I don't think the time you'll save with an open front compared to the close front will make that much of a difference, especially given the size of our course!
