Can you spectate? I'm not good enough yet to throw $50 at competing. I would love to later though.

Absolutly, you can spectate. And I do not want to hear that " I am not good enough" crap. Events like this is how you improve!

Point taken! I have the Redcat though, and would have to lock out the rear steer, and such. I would at least see a comp course before I jump in!
I will bring my crawling buddies, and we will observe this one, and maybe join in next time.

What's it cost for non-participants?

Hey man dont knock your redact. I don't know much about the past ones but the new ones seem pretty good now. My nephew has one stock on PB comp tires and less than 200$ invested in it and it out does my AX10 with $600 invested. Kinda pisses me off when I think about. If I lived in Indy I would be all over this. Hell the worse you can do is last and you can't go anywhere but up from there. Give it a shot, you might be suprised what the redact could do. Good luck in what ever you decide. I'm rootin for bro.

Thanks for the encouragement...but I am gonna' sit this one out. With a few mods, I am really impressed my my Redcat, but I have never even seen a comp course in person... So I think I will observe this time, then be ready for next time!
Do all the 2.2s run the same class? Or is it broken down over/under 12 inches?

All 2.2's are equal. The rule is a maximum of 12.5" for wheelbase.

He said he was moving it all to a piece of land on the west side. Haven't heard if he got that done.
