Default Kansas Twist N' Pullers

Hey everyone I'm looking to get a few people together for a radio control club. I'm looking more for more of the crawlers and sled pulling... I'm in Salina but hit me up if you're interested.

The one here is my beater lol. I just ordered my Axial SCX10 today should be here by Friday. I'll be figuring out what upgrades I'll have to make for my style lol. I will probably be doing a lift, 2.2 tires, New links, and a tundra cab pretty soon. but just depends.

We both run Traxxas waterproof XL-5 esc and I personally use rtv on my servos. We take our receiver and put a balloon over it and zip tie the opening shut. After that pic was taken i went forward off that rock and didnt know the water was four foot deep. I retrieved the truck and it ran perfect with no cleaning.

Yea I'm on debate, I thought about maybe upgrading to the traxxas waterproof stuff but not sure yet. I know I need to do something because I've gotten close a couple times to messing up my HPI already because of not waterproofing.

Traxxas makes some really good stuff. My friend has run their waterproof servo and didnt do a thing to it but put in his truck and go. Same with the esc.

Could you find out for sure I might have him help if he does cuz I'd like to keep the esc with the drag brake. I heard they are good ones to and are made by castle creations?? How good is the stock motors or should I upgrade that too?

OK. The stock motors are ok but they are a 27 turn. You should look into upgrading to a 45 turn or 55 turn for more torque. This pic is from today.

Why use traxxas when Holmes hobbies makes a waterproof esc and plastidip will wear out over time from my experience I just had flightinstrukta epoxy my first brxl and it looks like the one I got waterproofed from hh. Epoxy is how they waterproof the traxxas electronics.
