Default New rig in the shop.

I've been working on this thing for about 3 months now. It's taken a while cause I gotta keep it hid and everything to do with it out of sight. The reason I've been keeping it hidden,I'm building this Twin for my brother for his birthday. He'll recieve it on the 27th of this month. I only lack the batteries and the reciever and it'll be done. Theres no rubber on the wheels yet cause they are drying at the moment. They'll be regular Moabs narrowed down a little on there tommorrow sometime. I'm gonna slap my old Super Rooster in there for now and a stock 27t. He's run my Twin a little,so I see a brushless system in this one as well pretty soon. I'll send him your way John . I've already upgraded the ring and pinions to the helical cut gears front and rear,so his axles are bomb proof. He'll be able to steer it good with the 359's on each axle and we'll probly mod his TQ3 after he get's a little more experience with it. I decided to just paint up the stock Twin body. I figured he'd wanna get his own bodies and paint them up himself.

Anyway....on with the pics.

Cub,they are 13" hex to hex....just like my axles. By the way...I got my new wheels today,if you got them, bring your Moabs to the next meet and we'll glue them up with my old wheels.

I got the tires done and mounted. In the morning I'll finish up the electronics and give it a test run. Fine tune if needed and put it up till later this month.

Heres a few shots with the finished rubber

I'm glad you liked it. I like building them as much as I do driving them. I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out, seems to perform really well.

Unwanted rocks????? Theres no such thing when your building a 4 or 5 coarse rock crawling park in your back yard.;)

Thanks John. Top link mounts? Are you refering to the upper link mount on the axle?

The servo mount on the axles are super simple and very effective.

Yeah,I've got simular set ups on mine and my sons and they work great. Mine looks a little diferent cus I used a section of a Savage chassis plate for the cross section, but it's basically the same. If your interested I can try to hook you up with something that'll work for ya on yours.

Did you get my PM? I sent one asking about the specs on the new motors. Just currious. I'd like to order one up here in a couple weeks if possible. This 27t brushed motor is really defeating me. I need some horsepower!!!
