When building Twin Force crawler axles, do we want to build in a small amount of caster, or do we really need any at all?

castor is the difference between 0 and 0 looking at the SIDE of the axle camber is the difference between /--o--\ when looking at the FRONT of the axle toe is the difference between \--v--/ when looking at the TOP of the axle The wheely king axles have about 15-20* of castor on their axles. If you stand the axle C's upright to remove the castor, you have now "clocked" the axle. |

I am running a bunch on mine. Does it help? Heck, I dunno. It works good for bashing, so why not? Plus it allows me to easily run BTA steering ;)

When scratch building/assembling TF axles for a super class crawler, would you set them up with, or without caster? (If not using BTA steering).

It's your choice really. It's not needed and like anything else, theres pro's and cons to it. What I'm gonna try when I rebuild my super class Twin this fall is camber. I think I can gain a little with different camber settings. Not possitive but I'd like to try it anyway. | |
