Hopefully this post will not turn into a steaming pile like the other one. If the Rock Force does hit the U.S. market it will be some good times for the rc crawlers. I may even buy one. Or atlest get a set of axles to play with. I want a set of those servo and a set of those link mounts! |

i think its pretty cool. the only grip i see is that the shock ends are on ballstuds so than can pop off. needs more secure mount like a rod end.

| Yeah really! I think that the lower links should have been mounted inside the chassis like this setup here. New 2.2 Comp Tuber **Coming Soon** RCP Crawlers Prototype PICS How much do you think it will cost to get a set of those servo mounts made? |

Those are the same mounts the Mad and Twin Force use. I've run that style for years without a problem. Honestly,I've had many of the rod end style on the bottom of the shock wear out or break, the tops are still good. My super is currently running CEN piggybacks but until these,I've always run the stock Twin shocks. Probably go back to them when I rebuild it this winter. | |

Three link front with servo in the chassis? There is a hawse fairlead in the rear, possibly a winch? Looks like there is a couple servos inboard too. One for the front winch? THose custom axles have built in skidplates too, nice touch. The lower links really do need to be inboard. Thats kinda the point of boat side chassis for clearance. I second Raptorman on the ball studs. Never had a problem with that end of my shocks yet. |

The steering servo looks a little under-sized.

Little better pic of the front. Sorry bout the size. You can see the details better. Geuss it isn't an inboard servo. Like the 3 link though. I see a hawse fairlead in there too Last edited by Bart bender; 10-15-2007 at 06:49 PM. |

The more I look at those servo mounts the more they look like some generic part. Like a hose clamp or something. Is there anything that looks like those on the market...? :? Found this: http://www.myhelicopters.com/rc/Tail...t-TREX-450X-XL http://www.trextuning.com/heliupservomounts.php http://h1071671.hobbyshopnow.com/pro...od=MHETX4024SE I doubt the tail boom is 1" in diameter though. This one might work with some dermiling. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXNW31&P=7 Last edited by _BEN_; 10-17-2007 at 04:16 PM. |
