yeah not action vids, but they are coming from the other guys, they had go pro going almost all day! so that should be cool. there are a bunch more pics of the BYB hitting the course posted on the VA scaler facespace page too. just hoping there was video of that too. just getting psyched for any future runs now. |

little video. took this out of the longer one of all the other ones crawling. supershafty byb at carderrock.wmv - YouTube BYB did decent. crawling tires trenchers are not!, but it was fun. stripped the servo really good, broke the spline right off it. not sure what direction the BYB is gonna go now. full basher, or trail truck. probablly a basher. but maybe i will make it a sportsman class super rig. who knows. would like to get some pitbull 2.2 rock beast to cut up and put around some 3.2 wheels. think that would look pretty sweet. |

so, got myself a wild willy for the BYB. got most of him all painted except for all the helmet. what color should it be? orange? or something else? ideas would be cool guys. spent most of the day painting this guy today. took some pointers from this awesome tip sheet. Vintage Tamiya Radio Control Cars through to Modern Tamiya R/C - Home Page here are the pics so far! he is going to go in this guy! |

got the new driver installed!!! some crappy pics! now i need to redo the links on the rear!!! they were cobbled together so i could drive it around at NATS, so they will need some work. new power plant is a 1900 KV truggy motor, and a MMP with a 3 cell battery. need to up it to 4 cells, and then take the tires down and bit and soften the suspension up. then it should be a great little basher!!!! |

well i have been keeping this thing in the closet and steeling axle parts off it all too often. it needs cvds, axle stubs, 17mm hexes. and ring and pinion. !! i even stole the driver for the F-Toy. but anyway, i was bored and thought the new tires for this thing could be the new 2.2 pits. so i just laid these up next to it to see what the looked like. they may be a tad small, but they would be awesome for performance, and kinda look pretty good. here are some pics and the helpers in the background. |

It's more scale for sure, but it's a basher. It needs some big ol meats on it Last edited by Bart bender; 03-27-2013 at 07:48 PM. |

yes i agree, this was just a hey look at this kinda thing. want to get some paddles or trenchers for this thing. not the 40 series trenchers though. was thinking the shorter wider ones. and having diffs in the front and rear to handle the power. |

The RC4WD Rumble or B&H tires are sweet. Their 40 series tires are SICK but huge.

so here's kinda the last update. just waiting for a couple 6.5mm CC plugs so i can solder the motor wires to the esc... otherwise i would have run it today. so the front axles. they needed to be bolted on with some washers and a 4mm cap head. its because i used the kyosho CVDs. just drill out the stock wheels to 8mm. be careful though. the bit likes to grad the wheel and go crooked on you. so make sure you either clap it down or hold it TIGHT. then just remove the set screw that holds the center pin in (you dont really need this anyway since the 18mm adapters go on and hold that picn in place). the you trim the CVD down about 1.5mm and then just use the washers and bolt the wheels on. Got Wild Willy back in this guy now. he looks better in this than he did in the FTOY anyway. got the servo and steering linkage done. using RC4wd knuckles and traxxas rodends the linkage needs to be 8.125" long. and gave it a slight polish with some 600 sandpaper. had to give the linkage from the servo to the knuckle a slight bend to get around the shock mount. i turned the motor mount around to the motor is on the front of the thing now. this thing is gonna be front biased with the battery int he front too, but that should be good, since it will be a wheelie machine so thats about it. pics. |
