| new pics of 4-link w/ savage shocks
I got my savage xl shocks in last week. I still need to do alot of tuning to get the suspension to work the way I want it. Too much articulation at the moment and the wheelbase is off for the body by about 3". Tell me what you think. |

Definitely need some SERIOUS limiting on that suspension. I'd run frame rails that run out over the axles so that you can use a shorter shock that is mounted vertically. This will cut down on flex and make it a lot more realistic.

By the looks of it you are in the same boat I am in....trying to get the spring rate in check. I tried preloading the stock savage springs but now that you said something about the mounting location.... I will try the vertical shock setup and see how it goes. I know the shocks will thank me for it... |

oh yeh, I have some serious work to do too. I'm reworking my chassis now. Only reason my truck looks the way it does there is because I just got the body yesterday and didn't want to start on a chassis until the body came in to make sure it all fits.
