| Kyosho FO-XX
Fresh off the FedEx truck and into my shop. After oogling it for an hour while charging up some batteries and taking it for its first run I was highly impressed with the chain drive making it damn near silent under throttle, blown away by the in demand wheelies even in thick grass, super responsive throttle, and stability at high speed. Yes I Ricky Bobby'd it a few times on the pavement but the ear to ear grin never faded. I've got a different set of tires and parts coming for it in the meantime I removed the mixmatched combo of phillips and allen head black oxide hardware with all team KNK stainless. More to come sent from the mystery machine |

So did it come with 17mm hubs? If so the revo traxxas wheels and tires will work. Also Kyosho has some dead lock wheels for there 1/7 buggy that look nice also. http://www.kyosho.com/common/image.php?id=134889 |

I did bring it to the formula off-road section. The tires are a mirage. They look hard as a rock but are actually soft but firm enough to have that "mud tires on the highway noise" on the pavement sent from the mystery machine |

Got a little ambitious and since super shafty was out of servo plates I made my own bta steering links. Only issue is going to be bump steer or swap the drag link to a piece of allthread bent to avoid contact with the lower link sent from the mystery machine |

Kyosho doesn't plaster their product all over the place. Would make a nice brb. Still wish they would of went with a four link setup.

Never thought of using aluminum wraith links. I've got plastic ones I can use for mock up sent from the mystery machine |

There not wraith links. I made them. I'm afraid you bought a sheep in wolfs chothing. The good part there is a lot of room for custom building if your into that sort of thing. I enjoy it very much and this sort of rc is what I enjoy working on. I'm building a couple of Revo's stretched to look scale and that is my latest of a long line of builds. Have you heard anything from kyosho about possible CVDs? Now, I know you can do the HPI CVD mod, but finding the 112mm bone is like finding a unicorn at this point. Anyway looking forward to hearing more on the FO-XX, looks like fun. |
