Default Thanks to ZoSo 1/6 Willys

After watching a certain video on PooTube I found myself wanting to build a Willys. After a little FleaBay watching and a order to RC4WD, I ended up with this.

Hasbro body
27 turn hand wound motor
RC4wd 16:1 tranny
RC4wd disrupter trasfercase
Axial axles w/ 5mm wideners on each side
Punisher shafts (now not pictured)
Chinese wheels and tires that I wish I had some more of.
and a steering wheel kit from ZoSo.

This thing is an absolute blast to drive. As soon as my driver arrives I'll post up a video. The only thing I would do different is not gear it as low. i think it ended up at about 100:1.
I guess I'll do the math first next time.

looks great.... like the link set-up... awesome articulation ...yeah even the R2 is a little low and TOO loud ...I'm changing it to the axial trans I'll let you know how it works. I need to edit a couple hours of video.... down to a couple of minutes. My guy is still a little stiff armed at the wheel ..maybe adding a fishing weight to the elbow.... to turn right better. looking forward to the video

A body off shot would not show much. I have a rc4wd disrupter txfr bolted to the center crossmember and a thin strip of aluminum on the inside of the frame rails for mounting the links. I will try to get some more detail shots posted. I dropped my good camera so my iphone will have to do for now.

Nice rig. Love the willy! How did you make the clean areas on the windshield from the wipers?

If you have the army version it is alread marked on the windows. If you have the navy verison, a little masking tape and and airbrush does well.

Myself, I am shocked at the amount of money in hardware needs to be spent for this mod.

With that note, anyone want to trade a Mad Force in perfect condition (not a single scratch) for an Axial crawler? Really all I want is the drive train; Axels, drive shafts.
