| 6X6 Help
I am looking to build a 6X6 using highlift axles. And one know if it is possible to modify one to use as a center axle? Looks like using 2 of the rear half of the axle case will work, but not sure how I would drive the second bevel, or is it as easy as just having 2 bevel gears one one ring gear? As I think through this, I am thinking of a dual rear axel with Chino Leafs and a front with 4 link. Drive it all with an HH BR-XL and a Cobalt 10T puller. Straight steel "C" channel frame, maybe bent (Not sure if I have the capability). Then braze up some tube for a utility vehicle, maybe based on the Unimog or a 1947 CJ2A front end with a utility bed. |

I believe I had a thread asking similar questions, but I'd have to dig for it. But, yes, it's basically as easy as using two "input" sides of a case along with one ring gear and two pinions. As a result of the rotations, one of the rear axles will need to run upside down, but it shouldn't be a big deal to address.

Cool, thanks for the answer. Now if someone will come through in the wanted section with a single axle.

Ya just take two bevels and one ring gear than you flip the last axle up side down.
