you should post up a picture of the body so people can suggest what axles to use ,i would stick with axial wraith or wheelieking axles and you will probably need to make your own chassis.

The best way to start is to get some graft paper and draw out a full size "blue print" of sorts so you can get a feel for how everything might fit together, it will save a LOT of headaches down the road.

With 10" body width, are you wanting to keep the tires/wheels tucked in or wider track with them hanging out?
Maxstones with 2.2s on them are 14+" wide. Are they all MOA? Not many guys build MOA scalers.

A good set of Axials with the right hardware will hold up just fine.

Go talk to rick at supershafty.com he is great at coming up with ideas and can probly make your axles to fit what you want. I would say also check out the build in the twin/mad force area. JMO Also think about what you want, as in 4link,leafsprings and full frame or tube frame, scaler or crawler.
IMO I would go with a full lenght frame made out of 1/2 square tubing. I would thow some tires next to it and see what size you might want to use.

Just some ideas
