Default What foams to use for large scale Jeeps?

Ok - so what foams do you guys use in a 15 lb GI Joe jeep? I want the tires to mush out a bit to allow the tires to conform to the rocks and grip better. The stock foams are too soft in my Outcroppers so do I use two stage foams (outer and inner rings) or a 1 piece custom foam or ??

I would send crawler innovations an email with the specs of the rig (weight, tires, wheel width, etc) and see what he suggests.

Cant remember which firmness foams I went with, but did the double duece foams with no ventilation on the rim or tire and the 11'ish pound Willy's does a good job wrapping the roc loc's around what ever obsticle they are crawling over.

Not the best pic from the iphone, but most of the vehicle's weight is hanging on the rear drivers tire to give you an idea.

I tried that, no one ever got back to me. I made a set of foams out of extra firm auto upholstery foam. They support my pig very well, the sidewall no longer folds over when side hilling but when the weight gets transferred to one tire ( like when climbing up a rock) the tires will get that 'squishy' look to it.

I need something firmer for the front wheels, they just fold over when sidehilling and it pushes horribly when turning. Auto upholstery foam sounds interesting...
