| What 1/6 scale body would you want?
Hello. Regardless of what is out there what body would you want? I would like to hear from you all. If there is enough replies I might be persuaded in carving a master for casting. So lets hear what you would love to own. Pics would be great too. Thanks for looking |

Thanks for your reply. New Bright makes a newer dodge standard cab. I had thought about a Durango.

New bright had the 1/6 Dodge Ram a couple years ago, now they're almost impossible to find. I agree with vwmopar in that we need more available Dodge bodies. Durango, Ram, Ramcharger, early 41 to 60 flat fender Power Wagon, & at an affordable price. I think Dragon has a flat fender command car, but the purchase price is around $125, but you get a chassis, interior and wheels/tires, still, more than I want to spend to build my own 4wd creation. I'd say an Amphicar, but again Dragon has a Schwimwagen, also in the $125 range. How about something along the lines of a 32-36 Ford pickup, or a fat fendered 50's Ford pickup, or a 50's Chevy Panel Delivery?

I would look to see what the 1:1 guys are building. What ever you do don't do Jeep or Toyota love them both but that's all you see on the trails now a days. 88-98 Chevy and Gmc trucks that way you could make a Blazer, Suburban 1 ton to 1/2 ton truck out of them. They look good 2wd and lifted 4wd and seem to be pretty popular. But after you make a Dodge of course.

Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser (FJ55 would be cool, too) and/or Land Rover Defender. Both are available in 1:10 scale, but I don't work in that scale any longer.

A body that has a awesome roll cage as a frame to the body is what everyone wants. A Subaru Brat with the T-tops and a intagraded roll cage and large wheel wells would be a sweet body. And while your at it, hing the cage so the body stays on the chassis.

Hello. Thanks for all your replies. I have decided that my 1st 1/ 6th scale body will be 1988-1998 chevy/gmc platform. This will give us the most options. Standard, extra, and crew cab. Short, standard, long, step, and Dooley boxes. The 1st one I will be doing is a extra cab long box. Will be starting a new thread with the build. Again thanks for looking. ....... |

..........waiting...almost patiently........ Im sure most of the guys lurking in the large scale section would love anything out of the normal....Sorry to all the willy's builders but I think weve seen just about everything you can possibly do to one... Newbrights dodge body was cool but had way to many flawed body lines, no interior and was more of a split scale same with the raptor, hummer and avalanche For my build I went with the fastlane f350 and swapped in some pieces from the ez-tec f350 simply because of the interior, pretty fair body lines and because big fords are just plain bad a** I would like to think of myself as a pretty decent engineer/fabricator of all things tiny and remote controlled but buiding a scratch body..i don't know where to begin |
