| Hummer SUT
I just found this earlier today at a local thrift store. It came with a trailer. Once I got it home, I realized it was a bit bigger than I thought. Even the largest 1.9s are going to look like stockers on this. Here it is next to my TJ I've got some angled aluminum and will be starting on the new chassis pretty soon, I hope. The rest of the project might take a bit longer. I'm thinking an 4-linked AR60 rear axle, but I'm not sure what IFS set-up I'll run in the front. Maybe the front end of a Slash, Ruckus? Any suggestions? I'm really much of a hummer fan, but $10 for a great looking RC body is hard to pass up. |

A slash might be the best set up for the front the rear will need to be something that will have the same gearing as the front gearing if your going to make it 4wd. You are right about the bodes they are hard to find. Can't what to see progress.

Mocking this up with some 1.9 Pitbull Growlers. I want this to look like a fairly stock H2. With a Ruckus front end. I think this is a little too wide. The tires stick out a little over a cm. |

Can we get a stright on side shot? I have a 1/6 scale new bright h2 as well and those 1.9's are throwing me off. Do they really fit that good? They look like it from the angle shot you have on here. If they do i may have to rethink my wheel and tire set up. I am planning on running a ar60 out back and a exo front end on my ifs set up.

The first pic in post#4 says it all. If he raises the body up about an inch, I think it will be spot on stock lookin'. Jack er up, snap a pic and post it. |

It may be a photo-no-no, but as requested, here's the straight-on side shot (don't mind the junk). |

I think the 1.9 wheels are too small. I'd stretch those 1.9 tyres over some 2.2 wheels.

I think the tire size looks great wheels are a touch small. I believe these body's are about 7th scale so 1.9's would be 13's.

While the tires seem to fit perfectly, I did think they still looked a little off. I think you're right about the wheels being to small. 2.2's with similarly sized tires (around 4.75") would probably look better. |

Don't change the tyres to 2.2 because they would be too wide. Unless you cut n' shut some to be narrower. Just stretch those 1.9s over some nice and narrow 2.2 wheels. 1.9 Pitbull Rock Beasts stretch over 2.2 wheels and those Growlers are made of the same compound and should stretch well too. |

Looks like 33-35in tires on 15in rims to me. Normal.
