Don't know, because I've never used it. I've used just a basic 2 part Epoxy available at any hardware store. When I re-enforced the trailer, I used styrene and epoxy to fill in the framework, made a nice firm framework to screw the "shackles" in to. |

No, it's not the right product. It's for making resin copies from a mold pattern. I have no idea what to use fro your purpose except for maybe a JB plastic weld. I filled in the voids with styrene on my Jerp, a few other guys have used some aluminum bar stock on theirs. |

I was thinking Resin, cause I need to do the Hasbro Jeep chassis and the 2 1/6th scale trailers need filled in, so I can mount leaf spring hangers on the trailers I just looked and found this Stewmac gap filling 2 part epoxy, not sure if it can be drilled or tapped So I still need to look, I was hoping some one on here, could suggest the product Last edited by kgb424; 12-11-2018 at 01:14 AM. |

On a serious note, That body looks like it had a rough previous life. I'm sure it's thankful you own it now. I asked in the tools & procedures forum a while back about resin for reinforcing a hard-body for use as a buck when making an aluminum body. The recommendation I got was this stuff. https://www.smooth-on.com/product-line/epoxacoat/ If you can, something with a metal filler like JB weld, I would think would be best. If people are using styrene for this, resin should be OK. I have never done this though so my opinions really aren't valid. |

The JB Plastic Weld comes in a squeeze tube and is too expensive, cause I have a lot to fill in, with the Jeep Chassis and 2 1/6 scale trailers The gap filling stuff, you mix the 2 parts, it turns to paste, you then use a putty knife and have 20 minutes to work into the openings So I could do batches and sections at a time to fill the gaps in look at the pictures there is a lot too fill in And the transfer case is going to mounted on the chassis Want fill in around it also Last edited by kgb424; 12-11-2018 at 01:13 AM. |
