Default 1/6 ford f150 build - tlt axles, stampede tranny and more

joe was out wheeling my hummer h2 (i let him drive sometimes) and was doing pretty good

i was driving home when he called me and said he found a good looking truck at a wreck yard..so i met him where he said it was and needless to say, it was in decent shape

it was my brothers f150 lightning. he just recently hasnt had time for it..so i bought it from him
more pictures

joe looking it over

so stock its 2WD with some nice power...but 2WD, in a pickup? come on..so the build up begins...

joe helping me out with cleaning up the engine

then found this

ill work on this later but it fits together nice except for the bottom grill..oh well, its gonna get beaten offroad either way.

taking out the interior

joe resting up..the body is off now..
as i was cleaning up, joe drove my hummer and got my front tlt axle and put some stampede wheels on with some mashers i use on my stampede
so to wrap up the night, i quick made a mockup..might not need the weidners after all..
sorry for the crappy pictures..it was dark

im not gonna build the frame until i get the bed cut up so the tires will fit. but this gives you a general idea.

the only other real problem im having is where im gonna mount the tranny. i want to keep the interior..i might just cut out part of the cab and interior and cover it up with something that resembles a tool box in the interior..with the tauneau cover, you shouldnt be able to see in the bed.
but joe said we need to leave the passengers seat in, incase he picks up any girls :chug:
but hes sick right now and resting up
