What is your part number (from the wheels) and I'll double check what I can before they go out. | |

| Re: New Acorn Nuts - M2.5 - Great for steel wheels The Black ones? 1.9 or 1.55? The 1.9s use the M2.5 Acorns you ordered. The 1.55 take M2 hardware but our standard M2 Acorns are the studded ones and won't work on there. Last edited by Locked Up; 01-10-2014 at 11:05 PM. |

Studded ones are 1 piece. I have some samples that are what you need though. Let me make sure I have enough and if I do you'll be the only kid on any block with them. All I ask is pics. |

| Re: New Acorn Nuts - M2.5 - Great for steel wheels
So I needed to upgrade my hardware on my RC4wd tango downs. Unfortunately they are different than the old pin mount steelies. The old steelies with pin mounts use hardware through the hub from the back. The tango downs and the new steelies with the hex hubs have the socket head screws go through the front of the wheel and a m2.5 stud like the 4-40 acorn studs LockedUp offers for VP Hubs would be perfect but they do not exist (yet?) So after a PM to Patrick, we both came to the same idea to take these acorn nuts, some grub/set screws and make my own m2.5 acorn studs. They worked great on my Tango downs, can't wait to order more for my steelies! Pic with acorn nut & M2.5 x 8mm set screw, hardware put together, and 4-40 acorn stud for comparison On the wheels My dirty truggy |
