Default Megatiny

Move over Megaton, Megatiny is here.

This thing is freaking awesome, Losi does it again

I did break a shock, but I think that is going to be a design issue, the shocks do suck pretty bad, even compared to the stock micro-t shocks.

But the rest of the truck is fantastic, it's like a shrinky Dink version of the Losi Crawler.

Well anyways I got the shock fixed after the intial test run and when the daughter got home we had a mini comp, she's never been to interested in crawling, but she likes this truck. We ran for points no DNF's and no reverses, just gates and rollovers, we ran 3 courses it was a blast, so something to consider for parents.

Here are the pics.

Still needs some tweaking but she's crawling pretty well now.

The battery will sit on the servo and the esc on the rear axle.

Can you expand a little on what you mean here? I just ordered mine and would love an excuse to buy two more for my daughters. I more need to know what a good way to compete with these things are (more on gates, points, DNFs, etc).

Thanks!!

Default comps

If you go to the comps section there is a download of rules and point system for larger rigs. like +1 for a reverse. Just adapt them to your needs. It's like golf, lowest score wins.

Someone need to fab a Polaris Razr or Yamaha Rhino body for them and then they would be perfect for sitting in the back of a scaler.

No problem, you can look up the rules but if your not familiar with them I'd recommend staying out...LOL

Basically I watered down the comp rules, way down for my 5 and 8 year old, but they love it and that's all that matters to me.

Basic Micro Rules:

No DNF - You have to finish the courses

Gates - 10 points for hitting gates

Rollovers - 5 points - Vehicles must be placed back on all 4 wheels in the same spot or repositioned at the last gate they cleared. Kids are allowed to flip however they want all "real" comp drivers need to keep two wheels in contact with the ground as they flip the vehicle from the side.

Reverses are allowed

No time limit

Gate markers - See the Gate Marker Thread for ideas - 6" minimum from gate marker to gate marker

5-10 gates per course

Driver with the lowest score wins.

The key here is keep it fun for the kids by making it easy yet competitive, but tighten the rules up for your own runs so it's fun for you also.

Thanks for the info. As I'm sure you can relate, finding common interests for my daughters (4, and myself can be a challenge. I'm hoping we can get at least a little mileage out of this one.

I'm yet to time the runtime, but it is a 400mah, I mainly use it for the wieght.

Well I redesigned the chassis, it was a little to Tiny.

Alright, I'm almost done with Megatiny's rebuild.

New Paint and decal scheme

PVC Beadlock Mod

Lead wheel weights

I still need to rewire this thing for the new pcb location.

Here's some outdoor poser shots.
