Default My 1982 Datsun Pickup Build

I'm new to crawling and liked the idea of doing something scale so I picked up the new Losi Micro Crawler. It's great. Here's a photo of my build so far. The body is only sitting on the chassis for mock up. I was hoping that the wheel wells would line up a little better. With the front end dead even the rear wheels sit a little too far forward in the wheel wells. Not sure what I am going to do. The model is a 1:24th scale snap tite. Oh darn the forum says I can't post attachments!

Sounds like a good project. to extend the rear a bit you can make your own links out of mini t ball cups and threaded rod.

The shafts are sliders and should allow a bit of play. I'm running droop on mine which has extended the wheelbase about 1/2" using stock shafts.

You have to have a certain number of posts before you can add pics, I forget the magic number though

So if I remove the springs, which I understand is how you obtain droop, I can lengthen the wheelbase. I dont really need that much Its off maybe a 1/4 inch in the back.

Just get a free photobucket account, upload your pics to that site, then copy & paste the IMG code to your post here...works like a champ!

Let's see that Datsun!
