That's sick! Awesome detail and looks like a fun course, great job. Now you need a scale rig to match, and a helipad for the mcx!

Awesome stuff there! Any chance of a picture of the entire layout, with the crawler on for scale? I'm curious to see how big that is overall, I'm about to start working on a terrain piece myself.

| I took some as I was getting started, but got caught up and off track: I tried coffee grounds, tea leaves, sand and train layout greenery. In the end, random sections of packing foam heated to shape, chicken wire with paper mache and expanding foam gave me the best results. My advice: 1) Be careful which foam you spray with paint (many dissolve). 2) Sprinkle sand on top of expanding before it dries for texture. 3) If using paper mache (flour and water), make several layers letting them dry in between and top with stone texture spray paint. Yours will probably be better than mine.......but not better than my next one. ;) Jason Last edited by Alpha Male; 12-30-2009 at 12:33 PM. Reason: type-o |

Most excellent! I can't wait to get home from my trip to start building a course of my own. |

Yeah that's really cool. Looks like the total size is around 3'x6' - is that pretty close?

I think the next course I try will hinge in the middle and close up like a big wooden suitcase. I'm gonna try an urban setting with pipes and buildings etc. | |
