Default What KV brushless motor appropriate for Losi MRC

Guys,
I'm going to get brushless set up for my micro crawler. I will be using the lowest pinion gear available. I casually tried a little bit with 4500 kv motor;it became hot maybe . Horizon guy told me anything is good below 4000 kv. If the KV ratings is not correct, the motor will end up getting hot and burn.
Anyone of u tried brushless yet if so what the KV rate?
