Default Anyone working on MOA?

I would love to see a kit for this. If you are also interested in this please post in this thread.

If the post number gets high enough it might dangle a carrot in front of someone to come out with a conversion!!

I was working on some 1/24 scale stuff after I sold my SSMT a long time ago. Never finished it, but it was MOA with portals. Cant find a pic of the axles right now, but here's the portals:

obviously no use of losi's micro crawler parts, but it can be done.
I think I've got about all i need to finish it. I gotta wrap up another little 1/24 project and then maybe i'll jump on this again!

Nice work "shut up and drive". LOL

That is my MOA build going on. Biggest concern is how the gear motors will hold up. Small gears (steel) and no bearings.

I think someone could put those same motors on the Losi axle, like they do the MOA on the 2.2 Losi. The motors come in various ratios.
If I could get some axles in the future, I'd like to try it.

I know this is an older thread, but I'm working on a MOA. The main reason for that is I love the capability and the little wieght the chassis itself.
This setup will take me a bit cuz I'm going with 2 outrunners and need to find a esc that will support the 2 outrunners and setup a rear motor kill switch, as I'm using the Dx3E

a wee bit insane imo.. if they had comps for it sure, why not.. but as something that is purely a toy/basher, I see little reason to put forth the effort and even less of a market to cater it towards.

You know the owners manual for the micro says"this is not a toy". Its a hobby vehicle, dude. Dont judge me cuz I want the most insane micro of all my friends, but if a comp division starts it would be so awsome.

I wasn't slamming you man.. Just saying currently there is no market, therefor its highly doubtful that any companies are working on a kit..

I don't have a micro (yet) but beyond friendly comp's, I don't see a comp arena rising that will cater to shafty & moa in the same class. If a comp arena did come to fruition it would likely be stock & modified shafty only until popularity proved high enough to justify companies looking into micro moa.

It seems to me that 10 years ago there was no market for 1/10 crawlers either... Through people modifying their vehicles the hobby changes... Who is anyone to say a micro is anymore of a toy than any other R/C product... Ever see an indoor micro race track the interest in micro vehicles does exist... and how do any of us know what will or wont work for the R/C market until people bring their ideas to life... I personally would love to see more micro kits (actual kits...), and more companies competing with Losi.
