| Going Commando...
Jeep Commando Micro - cut the pan and moved some things to drop the floor as much as I could and still have a full interior, still needs bumpers and a few other small details... on/off easily accessible under the hood The body is mounted with 1/4" magnets, gorilla glued one mag to the frame, one to the body on each side - Last edited by Darsix; 02-20-2010 at 03:15 PM. |

Sweet body! The magnets don't mess with the electronics??? Where did you get the body?

I had one of the mags actually stick to the ESC when I was working on it and really thought I may have erased the programming... but no problems with it so far. The body is a 1/25 plastic model kit from my LHS. Last edited by Darsix; 02-21-2010 at 10:20 AM. |

I've done a little more work... LiPo, home brew headlights, driver and passenger, and steering servo.. Clearance rack at Toys-R-Us... Shrek is completely out of control... Pinocchio is terrified. Perfect! Well almost; I had to trim off some of Shrek's ass to get him to fit behind the wheel. Shrek's foot just reaches the shifter... Home brew headlamps wired for 3.7V... Hitec HS-55 servo. My stock servo developed the Twitch of Death... not quite Death Wobble, but just as deadly. Some different battery options - headlights are on/off switched so I can run voltages other than 3.7 Overall - Shot with the hood and roof off... I need to make a cover for the bed and decide how to mount all three (velcro, those gooey glue dot things, more magnets?) Last edited by Darsix; 09-07-2010 at 06:33 PM. |

Sweet! A buddy of mine had one of those. It was wiring nightmare! Had to do a complete rewire eventually.... Running around top off was a blast!

| Thanks! It's my first RC/crawler/scaler, I had a lot of fun working on it and have spent an insane amount of time playing with it... it's a great addition to football games! After seeing the video that I made, my gf says "it needs tail lights", so I will probably work on that once the snow starts to fly. |
