| Receiver problems?
Lately my micro will intermittently lose all power, like it's lost input from the controller. Every five minutes or so it'll just all-of-the-sudden stop - won't steer or go forward/back, then after a couple seconds it'll pick right back up like nothing's wrong. It does it with my stock NiMH battery and both my 1s and 2s lipo's, so I'm not thinking it's a battery issue. Anyone else heard of this or have this problem? It's rather annoying! Thanks- Devin |

Mine had some problems not binding and even if it did bind it would lose power and have steering issues. Replacing the junk transmitter batts with some quality solved it for me.

Check your wires. Everywhere. Losi used some cheap ass wire on that thing. I have had all the wires to the motor break cause the wire is so stiff and the ones on the battery as well. The wire does not allow much movement so all movement happens at the solder joints. An area that is weakened by the heat of soldering already. I ended up replacing all the wires even on the esc. Also rebind it, it could help. I have seen and heard about a lot of micros coming back with "radio" issues usually just needing a rebind. (even just Spektrum stuff, guy I crawl with had a few issues, a rebind solved it all) Last edited by Madkoifish; 03-21-2010 at 03:14 PM. |

I get the problem with the stock NiMH, 1s lipo, and 2s lipo so I doubt it's linked to the battery. Call me retarded, but how do you rebind? Just push the 'bind' button the rx with the tx already on, or push the button then turn the tx on, or... stand on one foot while singing "God Save the Queen" and blowing snot bubbles? |

When the green LED on the Rx/ESC stays lit it's bound. If you have to bind regularly change the TX batteries, their dead. Oh, and never assume new, out of the package batteries are good ... test them witha volt meter if needs be. Even good batteries arrive dead from time to time (makes for a real PITA when trouble shooting electronic issues thinking the batteries are NOT the problem).
