| 1988 Camel Trophy Defender 110 Build
Unfortunately, i am not able to post pics straight here on the thread, so i have them linked to Image Shack. It is a Land Rover Defender 110 scale build, everything on the truck is homemade. I'd appreciate it if you guys took a look, i value opinions started the build in my room at school and finished it over spring break. Enjoy My inspiration: --> http://www.bassetmead.co.uk/USERIMAGES/LR110CSWCT.JPG http://img51.imageshack.us/i/roofrackandguard.jpg/ http://img197.imageshack.us/i/scaledefender110.jpg/ http://img690.imageshack.us/i/dsc02099t.jpg/ http://img291.imageshack.us/i/dsc02104pw.jpg/ http://img690.imageshack.us/i/dsc02103s.jpg/ http://img532.imageshack.us/i/dsc02102z.jpg/ http://img694.imageshack.us/i/dsc02107j.jpg/ http://img690.imageshack.us/i/dsc02106eq.jpg/ |

Nice job on the body build, only thing i can say "negative" is you should have made it bigger, to fit the size of the tires better. Sweet build though |

That's a cool build. The only thing I would say is that maybe either tint the windows, or do a half or full interior. I only say this because there is so much detail on the body otherwise, that it's a shame to have to see the electronics whenever you are looking at it from a top perspective.

Anyway, the build looks fantastic. At first I thought it was a model kit build! Then I realized. Two big to you! | ||

Ive been looking for a LR D90 model to use as a scale body but have had no luck finding one... Not many landrover models at this scale in the US... Yours looks great though |

yeah, i have yet to find defender 110's and 90's, BUT, i have found scale diecast cars of both in 1/20 and 1/24, the weight might be an issue, but from what i have heard about the Hot Racing shocks, they can hold up to the wieght. The body i made is pretty heavy, so i just added some spacers into the shocks to hold it up, that may work too with the diecast bodies. if you have a 1/10, there is a scale body kit out there on eBay, good luck on the search |

i would lower it but i get severe tire rub then, if i can get a smaller, more scale tire and rim, i will, i made the thread about the micro high roller tires, i was gonna sand down a stock set of rims to get a small diameter and then put the high roller tire on it, idk, i'll see what i can come up with.

Great job on the body, awesome rig. Maybe if you limited the suspension travel a little you could lower the body. I don't believe a 1:1 rover has that much suspension travel.
