I have both, the HR and BWD. I prefer the BWD as I like the look and the quality. BWD uses larger countersunk hardware. I have stripped out a HR wheel with the tiny screws.

Crawler X makes the only wideners I know of. The only wheels that work with the wideners ar the HR beadlocks and the RPP scale wheels. The HR beadlocks also work with the BWD wheel weights. As for the BWD Vertex and the RC4WD beadlocks they both require you remove the hex adapters and mount to the axle pin directly. I have all 4 sets they all have pros and cons. If you want to use the wideners you'll need to go with the HR wheels or the RPP wheels. But you could always make set of adapters for the other wheels. I did this using an old set of losi wheels and a dermal tool. The do work but I fear they may strip out in a good bind. I'm still looking for a machine shop to make them out of aluminum. But I'm also hoping crawler x or BWD will make some adapters. Time will tell if there is a demand and enough requests I'm sure someone will make something.

The wideners from tcs are for the 2.2 class not the micro they won't work. As for the HR wheels they're on eBay. Do a search for losi micro crawler.

your second link is for a much bigger truck, those would not work with the micro crawler. HR wheels can be found @ The Toyz I really want the BWD Vertex myself, but kind of waiting to see what weight system he develops (he hinted towards one at least). wow, cool. so the answer is clear: wait for BWD ;) Support could not be better, I'm happy, even if the shipping could take some time to switzerland. (maybe you now know who i am wrote you the mail about wrong order few hours ago) but service seems to be your business! wish others would take you as idol (not shure if its the right word, but i think you know what i want to say) |

Don I can't wait to see your weight system and widener kits. I will definantly be buying atleast 1 or 2 more sets of wheels when those become available.
