Default opinion and info on HR shocks

Anyone have an opinion on the Hot Racing air / friction shocks? I know opinions of HR on here haven't been great but these shocks are it for an aftermarket option.

The more important question I have is if the internal spring set-up can be set-up for droop?

I did a search and found little on these...any input is appreciated!

i actually just read a post on micro t forum about these i believe it was bucknaked and wheelin and he set them up in half droop i guess and ran em on a stock chasis and said they ran like oil filled. just make sure they dont bind . i dont remember what chasis youre running but the stock one you can tweak to adjust the geometry of the top of the shock (also in his post)

considering the price they are definitely NOT worth it....the are sticky and the supplied springs are waaaaaay too stiff

Thats what I was looking for thanks! Are they sticky no matter what or are they something that can be modified to do better?

When I bought my micro they were already installed and were very stiff. Went back to stock and liked it much better so sold them off. After I sold them I found the post from BNR about cutting the springs in half and having it sit in a semi droop so told my mate who bought the shocks and he uses this setup now and likes them. Personally I don't think they are worth what they are charging. For that kind of money I say you are better getting the HR gearbox covers as my understanding this stops the binding.

Cheers Jarrod

I have the gear box thanks. I am working on another rig and want to do shocks this time. I hate the stock shocks and have no other choices
