advice for lipo Hello guys, i just bought a micro and i was wondering,to get more time running with the micro, whould a lipo do the job? and in your opinion, what lipo should i buy? thanks |
A lipo will give you more power and slightly longer run times. do a search in the losi micro and micro scale forums and you will find all the info you need there are tons of posts and whole threads with reviews tips and advice. |
ok, but the problem is that i don't understand nothing about this, lipo 2s,1s, 180, etc...i just need some advice about a specific product, and where to buy it. thanks |
which is why i suggested you search. so you can learn all the questions you have will have been asked by others and answered, you wont be the first new person to lipos also your needs may not be the exact same as someone else. you will likely want a 2s which stands for 2 cell which is 7.2/7.4 volts a size close to stock would be something under 300mah MAH is mili amps an hour that is the capacity if you have a specific question the best place to post may be in a larger lipo thread as long as its related |
thats better :), thanks is it too mutch to ask where can i buy that with a charger? thanks |
losi sells one with wall charger for 50 but i havent heard very good things about them |
will this work- http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-430-74-Pack.htm with a losi ec3 female plug ? |

Here is the pack that I have been running in my micro for quite some time: http://krawlerhobbies.1freecart.com/...micro-lipo.htm And here is a thread that discusses lipos on these trucks. You can see pictures and detailed descriptions of the lipo as well as the runtimes that I am getting using this pack. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/losi-micro-rock-crawler/226790-biggest-lipo-fit-stock-location.html |
Thanks alot. whith this what is the running time aprox? |
I get about 40 minutes or so from that pack.....of course, this might vary depending on how you drive and what gearing and motor you run. Mine is with the stock gearing and motor. |
What is the size of that lippo? |
Dude, read! The description for the battery says it's close to the same size as the stock battery; just 1cm longer than the stocker! That lipo looks good to me. Just about any charger will work; just make sure it has a balancer. |
