Default New MRC

Well, my lady was jumping on me about not spending money on a crawler and I was bummed 'cause we agreed to wait until after the new year to exchange gift to each other (that way we have more for the kids and our families). So, I was going to use a little money and get me a Losi Micro Rock from the LHS. Well, she said I didn't need to spend the money and she actually needed to borrow it, etc, etc. Well, turns out, she had actually bought me one from the LHS (they asked how I liked it last time I was in, I gave them a puzzled look and they said she had been in earlier to pick it up).

SO, She doesn't know I know, but I went ahead and ordered the CrawlerX TSC. I'm planning on getting some BWD Beadlock wheels, the RC4WD Rox Lox Tires, HiTec HS-65MG and I was looking at 2 3.7v 420mah lipo batteries.

Cash is tight w/ me being "economically downsized" so I'm trying to sell other "toys" to cover the upgrades. Still hoping for an XR-10 for my main Christmas gift

Anyhow, what are ya'lls thoughts on these upgrades? Something I should change, do different, get next?

Oh, and I snagged a couple of the Losi Crawler tracks off Ebay for less than $16 shipped!

You are on your way to something like mine. I run 7.4v & would not look back. 2nd page of my thread has the BWD wheels.

I bought a couple 1s 3.7 lipo's for the longer runtimes without increasing speed... but they don't have enough torque! Don't waste your money man. Instead, buy a hand wound 80t BB motor from Getbent. Then you can run the 7.4's and have controllable speed.
I'm running the Traxxas sub micro servo, it's the same price and a little more torque but it's "waterproof". of course the rest of the electronics aren't... at least not yet.

Enjoy! But watch out, everything is so cheap you can end up spending a fortune!

What battery/ batteries do you all recommend?

Edit: Johnny, do you have a model number on that Traxxas Servo?
