Default tires of choice?

I just bought a set of bwd beadlocks. I seen a post of someone using bullets and making weights like the vanquish wheels. I like that idea. They also look awesome on the Micro. Now what tires should i go with. I climb basically everything. I have homemade crawler courses made with foam and expansion foam. I also that concrete that i climb. What are these Qlo tires?
please help I know that most everyone here has some really good experience. thanks

I was gonna get a set of these tires, and the Qlo Tires

The Crusher and Rock Loxs look so realistic. But that wont be til after I get a chasis and some BWD wheels.

You don't have many choices that are specific to the Losi McRC. Other that stock, your options lie with RC4WD-- Rok Lox Micro Comp Tire, and Rock Crusher Micro Crawler Tire. I have seen urethane tires from other applications used on some McRC builds.

Try to search some, and you'll find this thread about the Yokomo mini QLO, and this thread about using the mini QLO tires. There are other threads.

The Qlo tires are the ones to fit the rctrax MIiniQlo micro rock crawler. It is slightly larger than the losi micro, therefore, so are the tires. They work great and have a very sticky rubber compound making the perormance outstanding. However, being larger creates problems with clearance while turning. BWD is supposed to be coming out with wideners that will hopefully solve that problem. The other options are the RC4WD micro roclox and crushers, I havent ever tried them, so hopefully someone with some experience with them will chime in. Here are some comparison pics of the losi tires next to the Qlo tires.

Do the miniqlo rims fit the McRC? or do they have different mounting systems?

I'm not sure if the QLO rims fit the losi micro, but I saw a post that the QLO tires fir the micro rims. I have a set of micro rocklox, they work really well. They are almost the exact size of the stock tires. They look really good on the rig and they work much better all around than the stockers.

i am currently running the rock crushers, and well, i dont think they are very much better than the stockers. it all depends on what you are running on though. at a recent G2G i ran my micro along side another that was running the rock lox. to me, the rock lox performed better.

as for the QLO tires,...DANALLY mounted them on his rig. here's his thread..

Found 'em:

Lot more here: getbent's Micro Eclipse

Wonder about the turning clearance with a TSC chassis. I'm really digging the look of them!

I think the QLO tires are great for a rig with a longer wheelbase like getbents rig, however if your running the stock wheelbase the RC4WD Micro Crushers or Rok Lox are the best.

I am with Stormin2u, the Miniqlo tires only look right on longer wheel base crawlers. And for them to work properly you need to either use spacers that are in the process of being made by BWD or mod your stock wheels as in the post a lil ways up.

For me I went with the RC4WD Micro Crushers, they are meant to be good all round tires and have a great look. They are a tad bigger than stock and don't wear as fast. Combined with BWD bead locks you got a killer combo.

I have a 6" WB, 4.5" wide micro just sitting on a counter waiting for china to make more QLO tires.

if some one has a set, you could totally take advantage of me.

MiniQlo tires will not have much turning angle on a Losi Micro without wideners.
