Default Steering Servo ?s

My micro steering servo won't turn fully in either direction recently. It was working fine about a week or so ago when I put it on the shelf and now it won't turn fully left or right. I can't imagine the servo is bad already and I have tried adjusting the steering with the control on the controller. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Junk the Servo, Probally went out. Seriously the stock servo doesn't seem to hold up to long.

Plenty of choices for replacements:

HiTec HS-65MG
HiTec HS-65HB
Traxxas 2065
T-Pro MG90S
Spektrum H3000

While I have to agree with buck here about the servo not being the greatest in quality, mine and many others has held up great. While getting a new servo migbht not be a bad idea, I do not believe it will solve your problem.

Most likely the issue is the steering dual rates. Either the stock controller in an RTR version or pretty much any controller for the BND will have steering dual rates or travel/epa. It is most likely this that is causing your issue. A slight misadjustment will cause EXACTLY this issue.

In fact proper use of this feature can SAVE this servo and many aftermarkets from destruction. You max out the physical travel of the crawler, and prevent any further travel and the servo's seem to last for quite some time. Overtravel seems to be their major killer.

Check the manual for the steering settings other than trims.

Looks like I shouldn't have pitched my manual. Hopefully Losi has an online version. I will check into the steering adjustment.

Thanks!

I just bought a Savox micro for my Trekker. It like it better than the Hitec I have for my mico crawler. Same torque but doesn't get warm like the Hitec. Mounts are also thicker. Doesn't matter much but thought I would add. Downside is I had to drill my own mount holes.

Sorry. Here is the one I bought. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ed-Micro-Servo Its 30 oz for the torque. Works great. If you wanna try overkill torque they have an ultra torque that makes 54 oz. Doesn't cost alot more but I thought why? I'll; try this same torque as the Hitec one.
