| Binding in the rear on the BWD Wedge
Installed the new chassis and links, and I seem to get quite a bit of bind in the rear end. I trimmed the ball ends like the site suggests, but I can't seem to figure it out. I checked the lengths of the links, etc, just can't seem to nail this one down.

i had to cut mine a good deal. I started by removing a little bit at a time. Some took more than others. what causes the binding is when your suspension cycles, and the ball ends rotate on the balls themselves, @ a certain point the edges of the ball ends hit your chassis or axle, stopping your suspension dead. Also, w/ my wedge i added 2mm spacers between the ball end for the shocks and the chassis plates, and mounted my shocks on the inside of the chassis. / \ status AND w/ mine, the front shocks are INSIDE the upper links, and the rear shocks are outside. I had to play with the top shock mounting locations, and the upper link locations chassis side to get them to clear eachother. Mine is really long. So another trick is that you can like, back out the ball ends like 3-6 turns on the axles, making the mounting locations for shocks and links further apart as you may need. |

Yeah, I bent in the front upper shock mounts so the shocks wouldn't rub. I'll just have to play with it a bit. One thing I'm a little disappointed in is the lack of an upper strut to keep the plates from being bent in and out. Those two little screws at the bottom are the only thing holding them on. |

I just jammed 2 plastic toothpicks cut to length in the holes for the body mount. | |
