Default how much articulation???

hay guys, been working on the micro today made new read inboard shock mounts to clear the new motor, also made custom lower links (a tad longer) and used the old lower links as upper mounts (for now) and the articulation is better (see pics) however im going to be extending the rear end as well, more then what iv done at the front, so the question i want to ask is can you have too much articulation?

You can definitely have to much articulation and it looks like you're about there.
A good general rule of thumb is "1 tire height".
But, to each there own.

I agree on "to each their own". I have rigs with near 90 degrees and others with locked out front flex and only minor flex in the rear. Each does something better than the other. That being said...each does something WORSE than the others too!

IMO yours looks good. I would say to stop there.

I seem to have the best performance with 1 1/2 MiClaws height of articulation. I think that works at about 60 degrees or so .... Most of it is from the rear as I have the fronts of both my micro's limited to some extent. I rum less with the Mini Qlo MOA v1 and about the same with the v2 RTR.
All seem to be good all around performers, but the droop and MOA's are the better climbers for obvious reasons. The Springer does better at general crawling.

I'm a fan of the 45° mark. Seems to be my happy medium performance wise doing just about everything well.

Too much flex and it will droop out too much and hang you up. Dropping a tire into a hole for example, the tire has to go in and out while affecting the other three and perhas pulling you off line or getting stuck. With less flex, the same tire will carry over said hole and not affect the other tires. There's a fine line and you look like you're there.
