| Gear Head RC 8Trax Micro Crawler Wheels - Black Delrin Machined in the U.S.A. out of black Delrin, these wheels are the perfect addition to your Losi Micro Crawler or Losi Micro 4x4 Trail Trekker. These are not beadlock and will need to be glued. For the best adhesion to Delrin, you may want to sand the grooves with 180 or 240 grit sandpaper. Available exclusively from Rpp Hobby: Gear Head RC 8Trax Micro Crawler Wheels, Black Delrin (4) Last edited by Gear Head RC; 02-04-2012 at 12:44 PM. |

First off they are nice looking wheels, with that said. I just don't see spending $39.00 bucks for a delrin non-beadlock Micro wheel set?? |

I expected them to be cheaper than the aluminum myself. I think I will pick up a set of the aluminum's, I've been going back and forth on the CAC's so long they discontinued them! |

Well i don't know about the costs of delrin VS aluminum raw stock. but i know the CNC doesn't care what its made of. it still takes time to get these out. the CAC Micro 6 wheels were the same price as both versions of these wheels. and both the now discontinued RC4WD steel bead locks and the new aluminum beadlocks were both more than this at first Im sure once initial costs are covered like ANYTHING else the price will drop. Id rather support them a little now with hopes they become interested in making more new parts that arent easily made at home and hopefully some giveaways wink wink nudge nudge ;) |

These do look nice. Great job on these. Any chance you could post a pick from the back side of the rim with no tire on it? Wondering if these could be hacked up and narrowed...thanks..

They look awesome, but the price is pretty steep, even on sale.

Thanks for the pic. I think I'm gonna buy a spare and see if they can be chopped up and do a DANALLY mod or a pvc mod on them to widen them. It looks like it could work... Either way they look good and I understand why your price is where it is at. Some just don't understand the cost per hour of a cnc. Sure you could have made a couple hundred or even a few thousand sets of these and set a lower price..but then you would have potentially put yourself in a bad position, being left holding the bag.. lol.. thanks again..

with hex wideners you can remove them if you want to use the wheels on another build they also come in aluminum, this option is nice for those that want black wheels and dont want paint flaking off or to pay the extra cost of powder coat/anodizing | |

I have many cnc's, bridgeports, and lathes at my fingertips. Not a fan of wheel wideners. Never have been. Regardless, it looks like miclaw bead wont fit in the groove. So it would have to be opened up. There aren't many rims out there as you know.. just seeing what can be done or can not be done. That's all. On my dannaly modded rims the rock ring is there for looks nothing more. That and the miclaws mounted on those rims make the tire taller because you are narrowing the rim. Something a lot do in the 2.2 and 1.9 class.
