| 2-56 rod and mini t rod ends + few other questions
Just purchased hitec hs-55 servo's, mini t rod ends, 2-56 rod, Qlo's, TMC blade chassis, and some lead shot. Questions: The mini t rod end seems too small to fit the 2-56 rod into it, I've just tried to screw it in by hand and I couldnt get it to thread, do I need to drill the rod ends out? If not, what method did yall use to install them? As far as the hs-55 servo goes, it has 1 center hole on each side instead of the two top/bottom holes on the stock servo. I'm assuming the best method to mount this is either with servo tape, or carefully drill the top and bottom holes on each side? The Qlo's with HR Aluminum beadlocks - how much leadshot (bb's) should I put in the front & the rears? The TMC Blade chassis will actually have close to the stock length in the rear, and longer links up front. Appreciate it! |

As far as the servo goes, since it is translucent, just set it up there and mark where the holes should be, then drill new holes in the servo like the stock one. Thats how I mounted mine. Good luck.

Appreciate it bud, I'll do that - I also grabbed some plyers and just muscled the rod into the rod ends |

i used 2-56 rod and when i cut it with wire cutters the tip would flatten out a bit causing the rod to not want to thread, and somtimes it would act as a drill and ream out the holes too much causing the rod to stripp out the mini-t cups i always file the tip alittle and the rod threads fine.

Here's a tip: Drill holes through the Mini T ball ends, right through the ball. It make's set up so much easier and you don't have to worry about bending your chassis when you take it apart. |

Aren't the mini t ends for a 1/18 scale? If so which ones can I use for a trail Trekker? Thanks!

The mini t is 1/18, however those are the right ends to use for making Trekker links. The balls are both the same size.

I run a 2-56 bottom top a short ways into the ball ends first so that they start easy.
